Preparation of Mortar |
The powder is gradually added to resin with mixing in the ratio of 1 part by weight resin & 3 part by weight powder. Batch size can be varied depending upon the temperature & working condition. When working at a very low temperature the syrup should be kept warm. Large batch should be avoided. |
Applications |
It is used for setting acid proof bricks, tiles in chemical vessel, reaction tank, floors, filter nutches. It is widely used in chemical, dyestuff, petrochemical, fertilizer industries etc. When there is less severe condition it is used as pointing material. |
Chemical Resistance |
Mortar can resist many inorganic, organic acids & solvents. It is not recommended for use with alkalies & for higher concentration of oxidising agents. |
