CILICID-N is mainly finding its use as bedding material for chemical resistant brick lining and bonding material for chimney lining.
This is a two component system consisting of a powder and a solution. These are mixed in the ratio of 3 part of powder to 1 part of solution attain a workable mortar consistency. It confirms to International Standard. |

Preparation |
|
3 part of powder is mixed with 1 part of solution. The powder is gradually added with mixing to the solution in 4 to 5 minute time. Clean enamel basin & trowel are used for this purpose.
It is recommended to apply a coat of Pricoat and an impervious membrane like Thermostic before applying the Cilicid-N. The mortar thickness for bedding and joining would be 6 mm. and 3 mm. respectively. |

It is used extensively as the bedding mortar in various area like effluent treatment tanks, reaction vessel, storage tank, floor, drain, chimney, Tank area, Towers and other places in different industries like petro chemicals, fertilizer, dyestuff, steel rayon and metal finishing. |

Chemical Resistance |
|
It is resistant to all acids including strong oxidising acids except Hydrofluoric acid. It is resistant to acidic neutral salt solution and solvent. It is not suitable for Alkalies and water spillages. |

Storage & Transportation |
|
The powder and the solution keep in a cool and dry place in tightly closed condition and away from moisture. During transportation, containers of mortar must be protected from contact with water and should not be exposed to direct sunlight and heat. |

Handling Precautions |
|
While handling powder it is advisable to wear a mouth mask for protection. Avoid contact of solution with skin. In case of contact with solution, wash with plenty of water, and get immediate medical attention. |
